PPC SEM

One of the biggest confusion I have caused in part until recently, is that those responsible for SEO says: 'The SEM is the payment for position, positioning SEO is organic'. It is a standard definition of sponsored links, the SEM is applied to all for what you pay for the search engines to appear highlighted (up, way up). Readers already warm with the comment, wait a minute explanation.
The SEM spoken of those responsible for organic positioning (SEO) is actually called PPC (Pay Per Click). I repeat for the record, when in a blog talking about SEM SEO is to refer to sponsored links or PPC. We can repeat a third time, or a thousand, but as much as an explanation, the SEO SEM PPC continue to call. You can sit right or wrong, but you'll save energy if you surrender to reality. For my part, for a month I make the effort to call PPC sponsored links, but it is usual to call me escape SEM.

It seems stupid, but silly confusion when it comes to investing in SEO, SEM or PPC, ends in confusion for customers and do not really know what they are investing their money. If discusón presented at a conference of online marketing can get heated up about the fight.

Most SEO makers think that working in SEM, forgiveness, CFP professionals are not large, because money is easy to get visitors. No problem, most professional PPC (well I do now) think that people SEOs are unreliable, since they can not ever sure what position you will see a result. And best of all is that we get along very well despite this. It is also true that those who think this way, both are completely wrong (that's my opinion).

SEO is SEM
The SEO is part of the SEM, since the latter implies all actions related to the appearance of a website in search engine results, which include SEO, PPC (yes, I said it), creating content to appear in other search engine results (yes, Google's Universal Search), Twitter (now also out on Google) and in the News section (yes, okay, also from Google).
Since the Internet is based on links, and links are a major factor in SEO, anything that has a link to the website of the customer has to do with SEO. But on the other hand, as the links are always in a context of content, and content is the work of another area of online marketing, content is not a thing of SEO work. Well, yes it is, but only in part.

The second confusion comes from the articles that attempt to relate social media, social networks, blogs, and anything having to do with the content and try to associate it with the SEO, SEO actions or SEO work. The questions What SEO or PPC? SEO or Social Media? SEO or loquequieraquesea  make no sense, since the answer is always: SEO and PPC, SEO and Social Media, SEO and what you can think of doing online marketing.

The SEO has to do with web links. The link content, social networks have links in Twitter are links to YouTube videos link, but no SEO has the slightest desire to create all that content. Not for what they charge, that's for sure.

SEO  is only
These same links in the content, they can make both good and bad positioning a website in search engines, affect SEO. So ... everything is SEO? No, by God. The only thing that calls for an SEO is that the other professionals know a little bit, just a little bit how the content they create affects the positioning.

A few simple SEO lessons, no more than a couple of hours would be enough for SEO hated not to other online marketers. Avoid spoiling a good position with some online marketing action ill-conceived, better use of links on the content they generate, four things simple but we usually feel pretty bad and can pull the ground our work.If you do a course search engine optimization for online marketers, we'll see if it is someday we will all be much happier. Especially customers.
